West Coast Calico

Calico Bass Fishing in California

Got another episode coming to you from the "Left Coast" this week.  We were out in
California this past March and Justin, an ex-professional skateboarder, life long friend of my nephew, took me out to show me how to get it done "West Coast Style."
We left out of Catalina Island and ran about 26 miles west to San Clemente Island one morning.  It was cold, it was rough, and I should have brought my surfboard.  Instead, I brought my Flats Blue rods and caught some really nice Calico Bass.  We got two episodes this season from California, a first on Addictive Fishing.  Check out this week's episode, San Clemente  on Fox Sun Sports (Friday, 10:30 a.m. ET / Sunday 9:30 p.m. ET / Tuesday 6:00 a.m. ET).

Finally got to share some really good news with you this week . . . we've been sitting on it for a bit, and it feels good to finally get it out in the open!  Addictive Fishing just signed a multiyear deal with Skeeter Boats, and I can hardly wait to get back out on the water shooting new episodes in my new Skeeter bay boats.  It also feels great to be back running Yamaha engines - that's where it all started for me years ago.

#showyourmogan contest
The winner of this week’s “Show Your Mogan” photo contest is . . . Dylan Escoll with this nice 45 inch 30 lb striped bass caught off of Gloucester, Massachusetts on a live mackerel. Dylan said it was the biggest of the day on his Flats Blue offshore tarpon setup.  Nice going Dylan.

Dylan posted his photo in the Mogan Lounge. Want a chance to win a cool AF Prize Pak?  Here’s how you enter:    Facebookers must submit their photo within the “Show Your Mogan” photo contest Event Page.  Instagrammers can upload photos with hashtag: #showyourmogan or join the Mogan Lounge and post your photo there as well.

Watch out North Florida . . . me and the AF Crew are heading back up there next month to visit the Tallahassee Mogan Maniacs.  Will have more details for you soon.

Until next week . . . tight lines,

Blair
